The Solar Fly Trap is based on an ancient Chinese design. The trap is constructed of a lightweight aluminum mesh and banding, the size of a 12 inch diameter round hatbox. The yeast-based bait is mixed with water and poured into the container at the bottom of the trap. Flies are lured into the trap; within seconds they will bypass it, move up the cone, become trapped in the chamber, and ultimately be dehydrated by the sun. The bait has a fairly strong scent and should be used in outdoor conditions, such as in kennels, poultry and swine facilities, feedlots, and dairies. Comes with one package of bait, which lasts for about 6 weeks.
Trap Placement: Place the Solar Fly Trap in a location that gets morning sun and afternoon shade, if possible. Having the trap exposed to the sun and heat up during the day is necessary for the flies to die.
Features: Size: 24 cm (10 in.) in height and diameter. Includes 1 bait and Replacement baits sold separately.
