Bird Nesting Materials

Description

The most common type of nests that birds make are cup-shaped and are made from vegetation. The outer layers are usually coarse materials that is lined inside with soft or finer materials.

Watch many different birds come to steal feathers, string, cotton, and excelsior from your mixed supply of nesting materials. Our Nesting Material Mixture is the only nesting material available that contains a blend of five natural-colored materials preferred by North American nesting birds. Hang in a large hole mesh bag or drop on shrubs. Use your imagination to offer a great mix of nesting materials for your feathered friends. Also available is a nesting material bell, which is full and ready for refills, and the Hummer Helper for another holder of all nesting materials. Not all birds nest in spring. Birds often have more than one nesting, so provide materials from April until September.
