Citrus Mealybug Lure

The citrus mealybug (Planococcus citri) is a small, soft-bodied insect that infests citrus, greenhouse crops, and ornamentals. It produces honeydew, which promotes sooty mold growth and reduces fruit quality. Females lay up to 400 eggs in waxy sacs, and crawlers spread rapidly in warm, humid conditions. At temperatures above 13 °C, up to eight generations may occur per year.

Pheromone traps target male mealybugs to monitor flight activity and help time interventions such as biological control releases.
